I'm planning to move from my Grado Sonata to a moving coil cartridge. I've heard that it should be a substantial improvement. What I like about the Grado is it's warmth and weight. What I'm looking to gain is extended highs, better resolution, and better dynamics. My budget is $1000 or less; $500 would be good. My vinyl rig is an Oracle Delphi Mk III with a recently purchased (not installed yet) Morch UP-4 with the blue dot arm. My phono preamp is a Wright Sound WPL10V. I have not decided whether I will get the S&B step-up transformer from Bent Audio or build the Dact phono preamp. But that's a whole other discussion.
