Pat,
These tweeter arrays are definately original to the cabinet. I think the mixing of 200x and 200y tweeters is a little unusual, but I'm sure they are factory original set-ups. The tweeter arrays are enclosed in a plywood box inside of the speaker cabinet and it looks like it was never taken off. Also I purchased these from the estate of a music professor at the Univ.of Vermont and his family said he special ordered these CG's from Bozak. They are also quite unusual in that they are rated at 16 ohms-I have never seen a set of CG's that were'nt 8 ohms. I havent removed the back of the cabinets in a couple of years but do remember that all the drivers had the same date codes, so this wasnt one of those systems that was upgraded over time. My 1975 set has the vertical row of 8 tweeters down the center of the baffle board. These speakers also have the small letter "c" designation. Are these the first of the ceramic magnet Bozaks? Both are excellant sounding speakers BTW, with beautiful midrange. The older set are a little "warmer" sounding; better speed and clarity goes to the 1975's.
John
