The 3K output impedance is rather high- Comparable to some passive stages. (More-critical than the amp's input impedance in your case.) You should use a good low-capacitance cable (Nordost is a good one for this application), preferably as short as possible. 1 meter is OK, 0.5 meter (or even less) would be ideal.
