The Russian tubes that are equivalents to 6SN7GTs are actually a 6N8S (Cyrillic letters.) I have not heard the metal based version, and am not sure what's different from the bakelite based version, (info anyone?) but I do like them as drivers. The Sylvania 3 hole T plates whooped them however. I've also tried them as inputs, but did not like them in that position.
