Hi Robert,The ECC99 is great valve I think its about the best current production tube out there. If you haven't already try a Tung-sol 5687 (still can be found cheap) it doesn't like to be ran as hot (I run mine at 150V @ 12ma) and its not pin compatible but I like it a tad better. Its a bit cooler and less emotional but has more insight into the music.
