Well, since the average CD player puts out 2vRMS full scale, i.e. 5.67v pk-pk, that suggests one might expect to drive the amp 15dB above its rated maximum output. SETs are pretty tolerant of momentary overloads, but I myself would find that excessive. Six dB of overdrive capability seems more reasonable, so that you can go into "party mode" when needed without too much sonic pain. That would be 1vRMS sensitivity.
