Sorry but my Caliper signatures measure to 30Hz...IN ROOM! I think this qualifies as real bass. Other bigger Apogees went all the way to 20Hz. There is more bass pitch definition and transient response than I have ever heard with a box speaker and the power is there when its on the recording.
