I've owned AR LSTs since 1973 and power them with a Phase Linear 700B. They were mounted on the wall 10" above the floor. The sound quality was quite satisfying, well balanced and powerful, serving me well. After years of periodic looking and listening, I recently discovered speakers that surpass the LSTs and do not require a second mortgage. The Linkwitz Orions provide crystal clear, detailed sound, and a broad, well focused sound stage with awesome bass that exceeds the capabilities of the LSTs. I am happily in the process of rediscovering my cd collection.
