They are kind of awkward. Almost too big for bookshelf and too small for floor standing. I never had mine in a permanent place but when I was using them, they were on stands about two feet high, out from the wall about one foot and away from corners. Too near the floor resulted in boomy bass. I would have rather had them about four feet high so the tweeters would have been at ear level when sitting but I used stands that I already had. I thought they sounded pretty good in that particular room, with that placement. The room was on the live side.
As it stands the tweeters are recessed behind the wood trim so one could say that highs are already bouncing off of the cabinet but I don't think corner placement would be advised or you may end up with TOO much reflected information. The dealer I bought them from had them on the top of his equipment rack so they were about seven feet high. I didn't hear them in that position because he had them disconnected.
