I rigged a parafeed cap in so I could start burning in the output transformers. I went up to a 1uF value to get the bass response. I am guessing the reflection from the 10k TVRs on the line stage should have been thrown into the parafeed cap calculations (which yielded .1uF) but the empirical method usually wins with me anyway.Oh my gowsh! This sounds good with the 1544s in place and a 1uF DC blocking cap. Way more detail, depth and dynamics. It is like a switch flipped to ON. All the glam stuff is great but through it I can follow the vocal lines with a lot more emotion. I look forward to getting the cap out of there.
