I got the clock from Mouser and some Tant film resisters for the IV (270ohm). I started with the clock and was surprised by added body and dynamics it brought along with the greater soundstage, ambient info, detail and smoothness. The tant IV resisters are still breaking in but they added a hint of warmth and body over the metal films while increasing detail and smoothness further.
I have some Lundhal 1544 transformers I am trying to implement on the output to get rid of the coupling caps which are currently 4uF PPIO. I will either use a FET across them to cancel DC or a small PIO parafeed DC blocking cap.
As I am running a single 7amp/hr 12v battery I am curious how using a seperate battery for each regulator ( for the 1543, clock, and 2706) would help. Any comments here are appreciated.
Already this has become my digital reference. I look forward to optimizing the application and will post mt results.
