That, my friend, has crossed my mind a few times ever since I tried the MMGs with a set of Bryston monoblocks and still heard the same limitations. (Music school and a conservatory year didn't make me a musician but sure did a number on mismatching my ears with my budget.)On the brighter side, as I just posted elsewhere in this thread, a brief experiment jumpering the fuses yielded a tremendous improvement in the clarity of complex orchestral passages and choirs. No improvement on harmonic content at the high end...but there's hope.
We'll see what the tweaking game brings along the way...fun one way or another!
