I've said this over and over.
Make sure you have the speakers in the very best listening position before you do anything else. Maybe you've done this already. I can't emphasize this too much. Take a LOT of time positioning the speakers for the best soundstage, bass, focused image, etc. It's the first (should be) and most important tweak you will ever do.
