Hi Earl

I understand what your saying (I think).
Executive summary

In the case of the Dolby tests, they describe the best possible case for hearing distortion components, where there is no other noise or “other” signals. These thresholds for the distortion are ones where below which with any signal, even a pure tone, distortion would be inaudible.
Conversely, it sounds like your talking about thresholds below which distortion is inaudible with selected music.
I would like to read the paper and see what you’re talking about exactly.

Earl, one can also choose not to say someone has an ugly baby and your wrong, I do want to know what you’re talking about, hence the questions.
I’m not seeking support of my position and beliefs, I hang out here because there are others like me here and I don’t have as much time to build “fun” stuff so much anymore.

I’m not shooting the messenger (at least I didn’t mean to), I have in fact defended you here, I am only questioning things you said that seem too broad to me or contrary to my experience.
I didn’t think you would mind my inquiring further and I figure at least one or both of us will know more as a result of understanding the others opinion.
I’m not saying you’re an “opinionated snob”, I’m saying sometimes your “intensity” knob is set a little high that’s all.

Tom
