" The absolute sound" of an electric guitar

An acoustic instrument has an absolute sound for each listening environment in which it is plucked, strummed, blown or banged, but what about an electrically amplified instrument like an electric guitar?

Is its "absolute sound" that which ios emitted by the speakers in the stadium or club where the band plays? Or is that noise the "absolute sound" of that speaker, not the guitar? Perhaps its "absolute sound" the unamplified sound of the pick plucking the string?

This question is moot anyway, as I do not believe that audio playback systems can ever re-create the original source.
