What you really want is isolated ground. In home and commercial installations, contractors are famous for using the conduit as the ground. Many codes allow this. Regardless of what it's called, you want to be sure that a separate ground wire is run from the receptacle back to the main box for each outlet, and that the circuit ground is not connected to the conduit at the box. Hospital grade is one way of ensuring this. Hospitals also worry a lot about noise on the ground as it screws up their EEG's and EKG's and other very sensitive instruments.
