I've owned the Ah! Njoe Tjoeb CD 4000 with upsampler for six months. I'd call it a bonified giant killer. I found Siemens 7308 NOS tubes made a huge difference over the stock 6922's. The upsampler takes 500 hours to break in so be patient. I let it play for three weeks straight before doing a critical listening session. I also recommend the upgraded power cord. The player is light at 12 lbs so mass loading will help with vibration control. I put a 10 lb bag of sand on top and polycrystal spikes under. I will try lining the inside with dynamat to further dampen vibration. I feel once all these issues are tweeked, this player outperforms anything under $2000 and will give many players up to $5000 a run for their money.
