I love the DIY approach. I can see some of the costs associated with the VRS system. I mean this a small time venture, we are not dealing with a Dell here.

To me, most of the cost would seem to be the fit and finish, especially the case. The HW itself, excluding the soundcard is not that expensive.

The cool thing is, as you seem to have found it, the PC does not need to be SOTA, in terms of proc speed, mem. etc to perform well.
