I tried EAC on my PC and it was interesting. Not practicable for 1000 or so CDs (and the interface sucks) but an interesting approach. The latest iTunes comes with some sort of error correction ... but in typical Mac fashion they don't tell you what it does. I suspect it turns on an additional mode if the drive supports it. Maybe I should upgrade my external Sony drive to a Plextor ... these seem to have a good name. When I get two drives to produce the same results I'll be happy!
