A "higher resolution and a lowered noise floor" does not imply a reduction of sonic signature. It simply implies improved listening cues. The Furutech AC connector still has a sonic signature that I *can* identify, and I might still prefer it over another connector that offers an equaly high resolution/lowered noise floor. If the other connector sounds "too this, or too that", it would simply sound unsatisfactory to my ear, regardless of how subjectively *more* transparent it might be in comparison. In fact, I think the Wattgate/Marinco AC plug may have a better degree of transparency, per se. I simply don't like it's presentation when used on the VDH power cord *when* it's used on the particular device it's connected to *in my system*, period.
