Nice observations. I too believe it's improper to say one road is the rule in terms of audiophilia, and I feel a bit sick when I read someone's dogma about, "only bare copper", "only solid core", "only shielded", "only Teflon", "only this or that" is acceptable. It's just not my style. Hi-Fi is a bit like the medical field, it's both an art and a science. I enjoy knowing the "rules" and follow them quite often, yet, I have found that following "rules" is not always the answer to every issue. An open mind can often bring a big surprise. In the long run, each listener must be the judge of what is "correct" to their ears. As long as it's expressed as an opinion, I'm glad to encounter different POV's.
