Both cables have their attributes - The HMS are terrific bang for the buck cables, especially if you purchase them directly from Germany. The Silversmith cables are pricey, but more transparent and resolving.If your system is wanting for a smoother sound, do not purchase the Silversmith. The HMS has been hawked a bit, and I cannot say I agree that it is better, or even in the same ballpark (Hell, its not even the same sport!) as the Valhalla. It is however, smoother than the Silversmith - but not as accurate sounding in timbre and speed.
