The bulky ferrite things around the speaker cables are what turn me off. The girth doesn't bother me, just the look of those things beaded on the cable. However, if the price/performance ratio is right, it's possible I could overcome my aversion.I'm interested in HMS comparisons with the SPM because some people have claimed the SPM is close to the Valhalla (though I'm sure others will disagree.) The SPM is the frontrunner replacement I'm considering for my Harmonic Tech cables.
In all honesty, the HMS is too "new" for me to consider at this point, but I'm in no rush. I'm living in a dreamworld where I think Valhalla-quality cables will eventually be priced at "reasonable" levels.
