Hi,I made three pairs of cables with in essence identical construction, but different metal purity (OFHC Copper, 99.997% purity and 99.997% continous cast) and treatment for the signal conductors. They showed great differences when unplayed with the CC wire being head and shoulders above the other two, after forced burn in they started to sound so similar that I found it hard to detect changes.
This re-inforces my view that it's the crystal structure more than anything that makes the "sound" of otherwise identical wire, rather than just purity...
