I liked the Sovtek/Paramours better with my 10" paper coaxials. But when I heard them with cdbuglertoo's Straight 8s, I preferred the Valve Arts; the Sovteks were a little grating.
cdbuglertoo later invited me over for a listen with RCA 2A3s he had found, and I thought they sounded better than both!
Now I listen to Valve Art mesh 300Bs (in a 300B amp, not a Paramour). They are almost as detailed as the RCA 2A3s in the Paramours, but not quite. But in my room, the extra power is a necessity.
