BTW, this was not a defense of TACT. Having to wait months to get a part repaired is poor customer service. Its run like a boutique operation, instead of a real solid business. You pointed out in another post that mid-fi companies (which tend to be higher volume) have superior QC and customer service. I would agree. Its like buying A Toyota vs a Ferrari. You get higher performance with a Ferrari, but parts costs, service costs are unreal and the reliability is much worse than a Toyota. There are high end companies that provide excellent QC and customer service: Magnepan, Vandersteen, ... and many that arent. Part of getting into hi-end is knowing that when you're at the edge of technology, there's risk involved and you're going to get burned at some point. IS it your fault if you get burned? Of course not. Should you be prepared to have it happen sometime? Probably. To me, its part of the cost of exploring hi-end. I'm not defending TACT, nor am I critical of your response. All I was trying to do was put some perspective on the situation. Good luck in getting your unit fixed. BTW, I also have a 2150 that doesnt quite work fully....

I would advise people who are interested to join the Yahoo forums and see the comments, good and bad about TACT.
