It sort of matches my sentiments toward SS retip of old Dynavector XX-1. Before I wrecked it on what a coincidence D.B.'s ' Take five " record ( I took too many "take fives" with wine l;( it was bold , open rich and romantic sound. Retip made it sound rather controlled , strainend and detailed in sizzly kinf of way , irritating with vocasls a little bit. Compared to my friends, Benz reference wood vocal sound squized and forced and string instruments lack body ,kinda like a shell without a substance. On the other hand pint point imaging , and dynamic contrast improved. I need to try it on a different than rega arm.
