Yes, good idea!

After reading your post, I conducted tests with eleven different test records and all of them provided slightly different results. However, all except two showed better left-channel crosstalk than right-channel crosstalk. Two showed approximately equal crosstalk in both directions.

Yesterday I removed my AT7V cartridge from my SL-1200 to glue the stylus assembly into the cartridge body for better performance. When I reattached the headshell to the tonearm it now measures equal crosstalk in both channels with the Audio Technica AT-6606 test record that I used for the previous tests. Here are the meter readings from eleven test records using my SL-1200 with AT7V cartridge.
