I tried the anti-skate test. At 1, the arm moved smoothly across from the inner groove and stopped in it's rest. At 0.5, the arm seemed to want to stop in the same area where most of the skipping occurs. When I put the arm in the position of the first track with zero tracking force and gently blow on it, it does not move freely across the entire record surface.
