Maybe I should have said stiffer than some other arms. It has a lot to do with the length of the cue lever and the angle of its action. I've also got a Jelco SA750D and the angle and length of lever are different, and the operation is much softer.
I've owned 4 RB250s and currently have a Michell Tecnoarm a. When I had a Pink Triangle tt the cue lever always sent the suspension into bounce mode no matter how gentle I was with it.
The Tecnoarm is fitted to a Garrard 301 and the cue works perfectly.
