DIY Naim Armagedden PSU and AR TTs?

Okay laugh as much as you want but I have a late model AR EB101 turntable that has been upgraded in every imaginable sense except the power supply. Keeps me out of trouble, in my budget, and within my performace expectations. I won't go into the details of the other upgrades just to keep this on topic but lets just say no stones left unturned and my influences have been molded by Linn and George Merrill.

To sqeeze the final drop of performance out of it I was playing around with the idea of the OL DC motor kit but it's simply not within my price limitations and reviews have been mixed at best. The Naim Armagedden seems to get the most consistent reviews and the DIY version in the Linn FAQ is right up my alley price wise. I was acually considering just using a large isolation transformer and a Linn basik power supply board I have kicking around.

So my question is will this project work? Many versions of the AR used a 1.5 Watt Philips/Airpax 12 pole motor very similar to the LP12 or Regas. Mine happens to use a 3 Watt Hurst 24 pole if this makes any difference. I guess my concerns are current requirements, optimum voltage, and the phase shift circuit. Any input or discussion will be apprecaited. My thanks in advance.
