It may well be a Jico non-SAS replacement. I've got one in a V15-II and it performs as well as the Shure Original, if you don't want to run to an SAS I say go for it.
That said I've found the SAS VN35E is a really good improvement over the Shure stock stylus, with more detail and less surface noise.
The Jico SAS N75ED also improves a stock M75 and surprised me as to how good these cartridges can sound.
I'm currently trying out a Jico VN2E (V15 mk I) stylus in a M44-7 cartridge in my mono system. It's taking a while to tame the sibilance, I'm changing settings incrementally and taking a while to evaluate things. But overall I like the result, with what I call the "big M44 sound" plus added detail. It isn't very subtle or everyone's taste but I'm having great fun with it.
I've been ordering Shure M44 series styli from several vendors recently, Rek-O-Kut N44-3E, generic N44-3, N44-1 and N44-7 and they all have the same plastic moulding as my Jico VN2E so I guess that Jico supply many vendors. Which is cool as I like Jico products.
It's good when it goes around to make a sound
