I'm using a boxwood with a Shure V15III/SAS and an African black ebony with an AT3100XE MC on an SME3009/II.
I'm very happy with both. As to whether they would work with your Helikon depends on its VTF and the combined mass of the cartridge and shell.
These shells are lighter than the Sumiko and many of the Audio Technica ones. Some AT ones do not have slots but fixed threaded holes - having said that they are nice shells.
