I'm resonably happy with my Silver mkII arm. But I couldn't possibly move my Dynavector Karat 19A mkII, which I believe has the same measurements as the 17D3, forward enough in the headshell to align it properly.
Beware also that if you try to mount a cart with ridges for azimuth adjustment on top, like my Ortofon Rondo Bronze, you can easily be in trouble with with your VTA because of the large mass reducing cut-outs in the headshell.
Some people claim this arm performs well with the DL-103/103R. I disagree, finding the sound of this combination lightweight and shallow.
