I've got a 100S which is an idler drive IIRC, whereas the SB is a belt drive. It has a factory fitted Shure M91ED which I think is way too optimistic at 1.5grams - I've got an M75EJ which is probably a more realistic option.
Yes there's a lot of friction in that arm, and enough loose joints in it to make an arthritis sufferer happier, but there's also something in the music it plays that my ordinary arms don't have.
I find Garrards, other than the 401, from this period disappointing as they could have been so much better.
My zero100 is in storage as the plus points are outnumbered by the minus ones. But it might come out to play for a couple of days now that you've reminded me about it.
