I'm still buying new, and new issues by new bands, not just re-issues.
It's a mistake to think good new music died with the LP in the early 90s.
Yes some modern pressings and cutting engineers are not as good as they could be but were they ever?
It is a pity that classical music has almost deserted the LP, and the classical industry wonders why new recordings are getting harder to sell. I suspect that the people who want to buy new classical recordings don't want it on a CD. I don't, sometimes I'm forced to because it's the only option.
