black ebony HS1A which is a few grams lighter.
The Sumiko and my V15III were very heavy together, the Yamamoto suits the low tracking weight of the Shure better.
I'm now using the Sumiko with an AT3100XE moving coil, which is lightish at 6.5g. and so far I am pleased with the sound.
Both headshells are heavier than the SME shells I also use, however they are light years ahead in sound quality.
The old ADC LMG1 was a light shell, also some of the AT MG series are fairly light. The downside with ATs is that they have fixed mounting tapped holes instead of slots. Both are good sounding shells though.
