as the Acos Lustre GST1 was too high to get the cartridge parallel to the record surface. It was 8-10mm too high. That is one low turntable platter!
I've now got an SME3009/II on it which works very well and is OK height wise. If I were putting a new arm I would consider a Jelco. I did try a Rega RB250 which seemed OK, but didn't meet my need for a detachable headshell.
I prefer the Garrards in my main system, but really like the Lenco, which is in daily use in my office.
