Broke my 97xE stylus, should I replace or try a V15-III/SAS..

I've had poorly aligned 97xE styli in the past and don't know if I want to take another gamble, the one I broke was a good one.

I've got a V15-II in my second system which I really like, and a friend has a V15-III in a Michell Transcriptors Saturn/Quad 33/303/ESL57 Electrostatic system which is a killer.

So I don't know whether to just replace the 97xE stylus, try a V15-III, or get another V15-II. The table is a Garrard 401/SME 3009II with an Elberg MD12mkII multicurve phono amp. Before anyone says Denon DL103 or Moving Coil I also have a 301/Tecnoarm/Ortofon MC25FL for more serious listening which I am very happy with. The 401 is a universal table for 78s as well as LPs, the choice of Shure is dictated by the M44 series I use for 78s, and the sort of Shure sound I like and grew up with. It's also nice to give the 401 a run with a good cartridge.

Yes I know there's lots of older threads about this, but if any of you have direct experience of all these three I'd like to hear them. And I am not dissing the Denon DL103.

Make mental note: do not put headshell/cartridge drawer on a chair with castors and stand with back to it again. The other five cartridges hit the carpet without dislodging their stylus guards.
