I just painted my B12GH, I didn't disassemble the under parts, I left them in place. In tubesforever picture showing the tape in the platter well you can take a plastic shopping bag from the grocery store and attach it to the sticky side of the tape that is sticking up, this covers the Idler wheel, platter and bearing area, the shopping bag fits perfectly. I took the speed selector and the number plate off, I pried the clip open that holds the light in place and pulled the light upward but not all the way out then taped it off. I painted this damn thing 5 times with the hammerlite paint before I was finally happy, a lot of work but I think it finally looks good.
