DGG madness - try their microgroove 78s

Yep, for a couple of years they pressed 10 and 12" 78s with LP grooves, variable cut and shellac. I use an 11x3 elliptical stylus for them and track at 2-3 grams. You need to find a good copy as the surface noise gets in the way. I don't think they boosted the high frequencies when cutting them so filtering noise is not really an option.

The DGG LPs of the period sound tame in comparion. 8 minutes per side from a 78 and stunning sound. Sorry about the poor scan, I supposed to be working now!

If the stampers still exist they should re-issue them on vinyl. Awesome!
