What era? 50s mono or later stereo....

In the 50s DGG did use different EQs. You can try the BSI 78 which QUAD recommended in their 22 user manual, however the CCIR EQ is probably best. The bass part of CCIR is almost identical to RIAA; it differs mainly in the treble: turnover is 3180Hz (RIAA 2121.5) and the cut at 10kHz is -10.5dB (RIAA -13.6). It will brighten up the sound. I don't have any problems with Stereo DGGs.

I don't know when DGG adopted RIAA, a lot of the early LPs would have remained in the catalogue unaltered. EMI went over from 1955/6.

In the very early 50s DGG issued some microgroove 78s, over 8 minutes from each side with dazzling sound. If only they'd pressed them in vinyl. Something special to play with a 1mil tip!!!
