If one takes a Grado and...- modifies the coil assembly
- replaces cantilever
- replaces the stylus
- adds vibration control to the shell...is it still a "Grado"?
Come on.
The only thing that is identifiably "Grado" is the plastic body and moving iron design.
Heck, even the output voltage differs by 20%.
Saying that it's a Grado is like saying that lemon meringue is the same as lemonade - sure, they both started out with lemons as the basic ingredient, but they're not quite the same now, are they?
