The fluid arm is okay, but......

....I would probably replace it. I used an SME 3009 on mine after the wiring on the fluid arm died. The fluid arm is actually not as bad as people say it is, IMO....but it can be a real pain in the arse...leaking fluid, wiring issues, etc. I really ended up hating it, though I can't honestly call it garbage because it tracked so well. Due to the fact that sans platter you'll always be dealing with an uneven play surface, I wouldn't suggest anything other than a uni-pivot should you decide to purchase another arm in the future. If you need any help, advice, or spares....let me know. I've restored one of these units from the ground up and spent many, many hours learning about them. And don't ever let anyone tell you these tables are crap. They're outstanding and unusual works of art.
