Of the belts I have tried so far, the TT Basics one is not only the least costly but is also the closest to correct speed on my table.I still however get over 101 rotations in 3 minutes. I'm seeing about 4 times as much speed deviation on my table as you appear to have been experiencing on yours. I checked this by repeating the count. The strobe also shows that it is closer to the correct speed than the other belts but not quite where it should be
I should mention that the turntable still sounds very good with any of these belts but now that I've started investigating the speed issue, I'd like to solve it completely.
I'd also like to try to determine what effect belt stiffness or springyness has on the sound. Its certainly quite noticeable that these different belts differ in this regard but deciding which is "best" for me will be lot more subjective than the speed issue.
