Recently I posted a thread regarding looking for a under $500 used turntable with auto-lift/shut-off that sounds "warm, fat, rich, sweet, full, and dark sounding....with euphoric midrange and deep punchy bass". Many of the vintage turntables I've experimented with have seemed to be on the lean and top heavy side of the spectrum. From the responses to my other thread, I'm now thinking of Thorens models such as the TD 145 MK II, TD 147,....stuff like that. Before I pull the trigger on one of these, I'm real curious about the Lenco tables. What do these sound like, generally? Which later models with decent arms and auto-lift should I consider...if any?
