Could be the pickup arm wires are tight. The vertical arm bearings are spring loaded and are not adjustable. The mark IV was an advance over the III as lighter components were used in the auto mech to reduce arm stiffness, so it's kinder to records and should track at lower weights (about 2g +). It looks like an early mkIV - the black circle around the spindle is not very common. All idler SP25s rumble - they were a single play version of a record changer but in their time were ideal starter decks. Don't junk it, enjoy it for what it is.
