No, don't "dip" records or CDs directly into liquid nitrogen. Cryogenic freezing of such should be done typically in a computer controlled (inner) chamber around which is an outer chamber through which liquid nitrogen flows. Picture a double boiler with a solid inner pan, except you have liquid nitrogen instead of boiling water in the outer part, and it's positioned horizontally. Of course the outer chamber is heavily insulated. The computer controls the temperature, including the rate of temperature decrease and increase. Taking stuff down to -320 F isn't a casual thing and must be done carefully. Don't trust just anyone who claims they can do it, get the services of an experienced professional.
