Hi, Try an Acos Lustre GST-1, Rega RB200 (not the 250), Audio Technica AT1005 mk II, or SME3009, not the improved version which has a fixed head, and check the playing weight. You do need an arm with working bias compensator. Aim to track at 3-4 grams. My preference is the Shure M44 series cartridges, they're still available. Get a specialist retip, they're often cheaper than a manufacturer's standard 78 one, a thirty thou truncated conical will play most 78s adequately. The Stanton 500 is OK. I prefer to use new cartridges as they do age. Have fun.
