Re: Consider this,

" It's not perfect, but how do you clean that stuff that you drop the cart into? Or do you just let the contaminates build up? "

I think I prefer a new surface, or at least a renewed surface, if I am cleaning something, double so If I can't see it easily, but I am always open to progress.. "

The Zen Dust pad and Magic Eraser's remove and hold an enormous
amount of crud, I just slightly reposition the pad periodically when an area of the pad seems fouled to the point that it may be losing effectiveness, eventually when the surface starts to look disgusting enough or I feel there's no suitable clean enough area's to bother with, I take it to the sink, put a little dab of bar or dish soap on the tip of my finger and then dribble some warm water on the pad surface rub the surface with my finger tip, rinse it off, and it's literally as good as new, going on 3 years and I've experienced no
discernible loss of adhesive effectiveness.

I will BTW readily admit to thinking the whole idea was weird
and flawed initially, but I love analog gadgetry and after a couple of months of casual use and observation in addition to reading of others experiences and eventually became a believer.

With the ME, I've yet to actually reach the point where I feel the little section of pad I'm using is saturated to the point of diminishing functionality, when that does happen, I'll simply cut a new piece, a $2 or $3 box of the ME material would last me about 2000 years at least ;-) So when the ticker is crapped out I'm planning on stashing the box in my Cryogenic chamber, as who knows if it'll still be available when I'm thawed out ? ;-)

Both the Zen Pad and the ME have gained an impressive following
including dealers who are recommending the Zen Dust for maximum obtaining maximum stylus life for the cartridges they sell.

Check out Music Direct for instance.

I don't have a financial interest (wish I did) or an axe to grind
but when i find something that proves itself seriously useful or
valuable, I enjoy turning fellow analog obsessives on to it, gives my tawdry/uneventful existence a degree of value added.

BTW I have an impressive collection of every bottle of stylus cleaner
I've ever bought since the early 60's I could open a stylus cleaner museum.

Kind Regards FredJ
